Night Skies Images
Milky Way Eye was shot during the new moon on the early hours of April, 20 2023 when the Milky Way rises through the views of the Big Hogan on the backcountry side of the Monument Valley Tribal Park. The Big Hogan is in a restricted area of the Monument Valley and requires a Navajo guide to access it. The Galactic Center, known as the Milky Way Core, can be seen from the northern hemisphere between March and October and is only visible from the Big Hogan during the early part of the Milky Way season.
